Joanna Świętoniowska, Ph.D.

Employed at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów since 2005.

Dr. Świętoniowska defended her doctoral dissertation titled „Improving the Project Maturity of Organizations” with distinction in Social Sciences – Management and Quality Sciences at the University of Economics in Katowice in 2019.

Her research interests are focused on project management, innovations, entrepreneurship, and the use of games in education.

In her professional career, she prepares and manages national and international projects funded by internal and external programs (especially by Erasmus Plus Programme. She specializes in managing international projects conducted with European universities as well as other European entities such as businesses and consulting companies. She is a certified project manager – IPMA C (Certified Project Manager) and Prince (PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner), holding certificates for completing project management training based on PMI-PMBoK; accredited European Funds Consultant. She has conducted over 1000 hours of training for enterprises in the field of project management. She combines her scientific activity with economic advisory in the field of project management in enterprises, complementing each other and inspiring mutual inspiration.

She collaborates with the following universities, including but not limited to: University of Bologna, Reykjavik University Center for Research on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Instituto Politécnico de Portalegre in Portugal, Université de Nice – Sophia Antipolis, University of Seville, and University of Murcia.

Privately, she is a board game enthusiast, which is reflected in her professional work as she promotes the use of board games and simulations as innovative tools in education. She is a co-author of the board game Car Factory, reflecting the most important elements of project management. Since 2019, the Basics of Entrepreneurship course has been conducted in a gamified form.

Joanna Wójcik, Ph.D.

Employed at the University of Information Technology and Management since 2005

Graduate of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, specializstion Mathematics in Technical and Natural Sciences (2000-2005). She also completed the Postgraduate Studies in Computer Science Applications and the Postgraduate Studies in Pedagogy (AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow). She obtained a PhD in the discipline of management sciences in 2015 at the Faculty of Informatics and Communication of the University of Economics in Katowice. Title of dissertation „Models of knowledge objects in the e-learning systems of economic universities”. Certified e-teacher and e-learning methodologist (Association of Academic E-learning). Enthusiast of e-learning and modern methods in education.

Her main research focus is the domain of new technologies, e-learning, university management, business models, and agile methodologies. She has taken part in many international projects, including ICT4STD – Information and Communication Technologies for Sustainable Tourism Development (Coordinator) and BEAST – BE Aware STudent (Expert).
